On Sunday, October 11, ITS4THEKIDS is teaming up with the Miami Dolphins Foundation to donate 1,000 meals to locals in need.
ITS4THEKIDS is a philanthropic foundation that provides aid and support to children who are facing unique challenges to their health and wellbeing. The foundation’s mission is to provide a better quality of life to all children through hands-on assistance. The organization strives to help develop and funding new innovative programs and creating easier access to resources to create a community culture of giving back.
Dozens of volunteers from ITS4THEKIDS, including the organization’s founder, Ricky Patel, will be handing out meals from 2-4 p.m. at three locations in South Florida.
- Overtown Youth Center (Greater Bethel, 160 NW 18th Street, Miami, FL 33136)
- YWCA Intergenerational Center (3450 NW 199th Street, Miami Gardens, FL 33056)
- FLITE Center (5201 NW 33rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, 33309)
The food for the meals has been purchased from five local, minority-owned restaurants – Lil Greenhouse Grill, Sparky’s Jerk Cuisine, Piola Pizza, and Peru Station.
Patel and his team strongly believe ITS4THEKIDS provides children the opportunity to become healthy and fulfilled adults who can go on to help others in the community and around the world. The foundation’s community partners include the Gracious Hands Orphanage in Haiti and the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami.
