The City of Miami Beach has its eye on the number one spot, as it attempts to break the Guinness World Record for “Largest Circuit Training Class,” and wants your help.

We already knew Miami was one of the healthiest cities in the world. Just this year Miami was named the sixth healthiest city in the world.

But that wasn’t enough for the City of Miami Beach. It wants to break Guy Leech’s record for “Largest Circuit Training Class.” The Melbourne, Australia resident set the record on July 31, 2013, when 2,061 people gathered for the largest circuit training class ever.

“We are doing this to promote Miami Beach as an international destination for health and wellness, and when our community (tourists and residents) come together, we will always break international records,” says Matt Kenny, Director of Tourism and Culture for the City of Miami Beach.

So how can you help? Show up to Muscle Beach South Beach (between 8th and 9th street on Ocean Drive), Saturday, March 23rd at 9:00 am. The circuit will be led by a local Miami fitness instructor to be named closer to the date, and will consist of body weight movements all fitness levels can do.

There is no cost to participate, so you can be part of the 2,062 participants the City of Miami Beach needs to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Circuit Training Class. See you on the sand South Florida.
