Founder Derek Hodes launched run2date last year with the intention to create an event for active single professionals to run, meet, and connect. Beyond that, Hodes says “it’s all about connecting and meeting new people, broadening your universe and expanding your network. So, it doesn’t matter what your relationship status is, what really matters is the life experiences you create. You only have one chance at this thing called life. Let’s learn to engage with ourselves and others again.”
Attendees will receive a custom bib with their name, along with relationship status stickers and optional gender preference stickers, so everyone can feel comfortable approaching their fitness cutie crush! The 5K will kick off with warm-up at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 13 and the private post-event shenangians will go on until midnight, which also happens to be when it turns into Valentine’s Day. Perfect timing, amiright?
