Fresh produce, artisan items, baked goods, art, coffee and more are coming to Surfside, starting Sunday, September 15, 2019, during the town’s first-ever Surfside Farmers Market.

The Surfside Farmers Market will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday in the parking lot on the corner of 95th Street and Collins Avenue, in the heart of Surfside’s Downtown District, just a block away from the beach.

The Surfside Farmers Market is the brainchild of Javier Valmana, a Surfside resident who is passionate about all things local.

“Farmers markets not only provide a shopping experience like no other, with local organic produce, food and other interesting products,” said Valmana. “The Surfside Farmers Market also strives to contribute positively to the community, bringing further weekend excitement to the seaside town.”

Valmana is the owner of Wavey Acai Bowls, a pop-up company that sells fresh acai bowls throughout Miami, which will be present at the Surfside Farmers Market along with more than 20 other local vendors. The diverse list of vendors includes BeCultured (tempeh), Baguette Plus (baked goods), Coco watt (natural fruit slushees), Mind of Art (artistic furniture and house decor), Cauliflower Bites, Soapciety (cosmetic products), Garden Element (plants), WithCoffee and more.
