The Wynwood Yard is bidding farewell with YardFest, a three-day extravaganza from Friday, May 3rd through Sunday, May 5th, 2019.
Sponsored by The Doral Yard, Walt Grace Vintage, and Estrella Damm, YardFest celebrates all that defines The Wynwood Yard, from providing a platform for culinary entrepreneurs to share their creations, local musicians to spread their talent, to offering families, the community and people from all walks of life a magical gathering space in which to connect and make their own.
Xperimento, Spam Allstars and Locos por Juana will headline the weekend along with many more local musical favorites, DJs and a special edition of Miami’s hottest Caribbean festival, Wyncarib.
Fest-goers will reinvigorate with workshops and classes led by local wellness and fitness pros including Legacy Fit Doral, Ahana Yoga, and Soccer Shape and reach mindfulness at Modern ŌM’s Spring Cushion Crawl.
Kids and families are invited to connect with themselves and each other at a drum circle led by Live! Modern School of Music followed by a live musical performance. Budding foodies are invited to join The Sprouted Chef for a hands-on cooking sesh and explore their inner artiste with the Littlest Art Studio creating sun prints.
Give back to the community by purchasing jars of della bowls inspired green sauce, herbs from The Yard’s organic garden, potted plants and other garden-inspired goodies at the Garden Harvest Table, the proceeds of which will benefit The Wynwood Yard’s Food Justice Program, which provides educational culinary, arts and gardening programming to Miami-Dade County children at The Wynwood Yard and at The Yard’s new location in Doral when it opens in late 2019.
Don’t miss out on the last-ever Taste of The Yard on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where a $25 ticket lands you generous tasting portions from five Yard culinary concepts including The Bar at The Yard, along with specially-priced libations, beer and wine all weekend long.
Dive into Wynwood culture with Wynwood Stories, the immersive real-time theater experience that explores the iconic neighborhood’s rich history from the creators of Miami Motel Stories. Choose from several showtimes on Friday and Saturday evenings at www.thewynwoodstories.com.
Wynwood Yard founder Della Heiman encourages the entire community to “Join us on this final weekend as we celebrate the entrepreneurs, artists, creatives, and supporters who have helped make The Wynwood Yard a hub of community, entrepreneurship, and culture.”
