It’s no secret that Brickell is in the middle of a building boom, but what may be surprising is that for all the new buildings, retail and restaurant spaces being developed, there are only a few true health food spots to enjoy.Enter, Cure Café. Tucked into a little corner of Brickell, Cure Café is whipping up some incredibly delicious plates by Owner and Chef, Kate Farrell. After the departure of “The Juice Spot” owned by Lebron James’ wife Gloria, Kate wanted to give something the area is still desperately lacking, more healthy food options. She certainly has delivered on that promise, renovating the old Juice Spot space with some delicious smoothies, bowls, small plates, juices, coffees and teas. The best part? The price. Brickell is becoming synonymous with overpriced food options for no other reason than “just because.” But Cure Café has delivered a great menu at price points patrons feel comfortable and satisfied paying. For first timers, we recommend the Dragonfruit Bowl. This delicious bowl is loaded with Dragonfruit, pineapples, blackberries, strawberries, bee pollen and coconut flakes, and makes for a delicious option any time of the day. We also tried the Vegan Veggie Burger with peppers, lentils, kale, carrots and smashed avocados. The menu is 100% gluten free, growing some of their own ingredients on location. If you’re in the neighborhood, we recommend swinging by Cure Café and even dropping in to Cure Fitness next door for a workout.
