Its a great time to be a practicing yogi in the 305. Miami is packed with some incredible instructors that can be found teaching at some really exceptional studios around town. So where should you lay your mat down in 2019? Here’s our list of must-try Miami yoga studios.

SOL Yoga

SOL Yoga burst onto the scene in 2018, first opening its flagship location in Wynwood, and then later announcing an expansion to Fort Lauderdale. The stunning 2,200 square foot facility has attracted some of Miami’s most coveted Yoga instructors to teach in their heated space. We recommend dropping in for class with Dan Phalen.

TruFusion Coral Gables

TruFusion is another newcomer to the South Florida fitness scene that has quickly made a name for itself in the Coral Gables neighborhood. Offering Vinyasa, Yin, and Aerial, TruFusion is another studio that offers both heated and non-heated classes. You can sweat it out in TruFusion’s 95-degree studio, or stretch it out in Yin room. A.Rod and J-Lo are known to drop in frequently.

Green Monkey

Once again making our list is Green Monkey, which advocates the mantra of ‘Live your Practice’. This is felt the moment you walk through the doors of their Miami Beach Coral Gables location. Green Monkey devotees rave about how welcoming instructors are, making the studios feel like home.

OM Movement

Local favorite in Coconut Grove, OM Movement encourages consciousness in motion through transformative yoga classes such as Aerial Yoga, Fluidus Method Yoga, which emphasizes precise postural alignment, and Handstands, Arm Balance and Mobility. Encouraging for all levels, instructors are often praised by yoga virgins as a great space to learn the basics.

Casa Vinyasa

2018 was a great year for Yogis in the 305. South Miami welcomed Casa Vinyasa to the neighborhood. Owners Melissa Callahan and Lizzy Chiappy opened their heated space for seasoned yogis, athletes, beginners, weekend warriors and the yoga-curious. They offer a wide range of classes from power Vinyasa to restorative flow, and private sessions.

With locations in South Beach, Downtown Miami, and Aventura, Exhale has made our 2019 list. Strike a power pose, work on your core, restore and chill, or breathe deep in Exhale’s four signature classes. It doesn’t hurt that Exhale’s locations are at some of the most beautiful hotel properties in the 305. We recommend dropping in for a class with Jessica Schreiner on South Beach.

Centrally located in the bustle of South Beach is MAHAM Yoga. Tucked away on West Ave, MAHAM Yoga is led by Skylar Hauswirth, where many famous celebrities, influencers, entrepreneurs, athletes and models all lay their mat down in the heated studio at MAHAM Yoga. Hip-hop yoga is certainly the can’t-miss class led by Hauswirth himself.

Wynwood Yoga

Located on the western edge of the neighborhood, Wynwood Yoga is another must-try in 2019. There always seems to be a class getting ready to start at Wynwood Yoga – from their signature Hot Power Yoga to Vinyasa and Yin.

Ahana Yoga

The Design District’s Ahana Yoga is another studio that has attracted quite a bit of attention from some of the most prominent instructors in the area to teach and practice. Ahana Yoga also offers teacher trainings, retreats, and an events schedule, to bolster their mission of building a connected fitness community.

Prana Yoga

Tucked away in Coral Gables is one of Miami’s longest running Yoga studios. This hidden gem known as Prana Yoga has been welcoming yogis in the 305 since 1999, with over 75 classes a week. All experience levels are welcome at this neighborhood favorite. Prana Yoga also offers meditation, events & workshops, and even massages.
