Lululemon took the natural next step for their athleisure brand and announced a new athletic footwear line for women last week.
Following a collaboration with sneaker brand Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL), Lululemon learned how to sell shoes in its stores and what its customers were drawn to. Their new women-first footwear was made based on the feet of more than a million women, to give a better fit and feel.
When asked about the inspiration for the new shoes, Sun Choe, Chief Product Officer said, “How do we recreate the unparalleled feeling of our pants, in footwear? That was the spark."
The first style launched today and is a running shoe called Blissfeel. It retails for $148 and comes in 10 initial colorways, including Black and White, Mink Berry, Electric Lemon, and Pale Linen. You can put these shoes to the test with a 30-day trial and return them for a full refund if you are unsatisfied.
More styles will be launching in the coming months, including ones for cross-training, the Chargefeel Low and Mid workout shoes, and post-workout, the Restfeel slide.
Prices range from $138 and $148. A men’s collection is reportedly in the works for 2023. You can find these shoes in stores around South Florida including at Aventura, Lincoln Road, Merrick Park, Dadeland, and Naples. Learn more or order yours at lululemon.com.
