Be a part of the Parkinson’s Revolution right here in Miami. On Saturday, June 12, Revolution Miami will be held at VirtuRide in North Miami. The national event is organized by the Parkinson’s Foundation and the goal is to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s Disease.

Parkinson’s is the second most common neurodegenerative disease in the US, affecting over 1 million people. In support of the cause, similar Revolution events take place across the country on the same day for inspiring, high-energy rides.

Riders of all abilities — from the fitness fanatics to the easy riders — are welcome to gear up and join. VirtuRide combines exercise and a great theater experience into one, featuring moving bikes in front of a mega screen. Start times are either 1 pm or 2:30 pm and the event will include a 60-minute ride as well as opening and closing ceremonies. For those who wish to participate at home, there is a virtual ride option as well.

Participants are encouraged to raise $250 for their ride, however, there is no minimum to participate. Revolution Miami is hoping to raise $10,000 through the event.
